Load Booking

Load Booking is a real problem nowadays due to the COVID situation, as there are restrictions not only in the country but globally. Keeping that in mind, Global Core Dispatch utilizes its relations with different shippers and brokers, and we take it upon ourselves to make sure the loads reach the truckers in optimum time.

Load Planning

Due to the restrictions with the ELD mandate, it’s very important to take driver hours into consideration and to make sure the load is delivered in a timely manner and efficient routes are planned. We at Global Core Dispatch make sure that every load is planned according to “available drivers” duty hours and we make sure that drivers do not exert themselves. We make sure they find the next load with the least number of dead miles possible. We believe in the saying, “Work smart, not hard”.

Customs Clearance

Customs clearance can mean a lot of paperwork, which can take a lot of time and effort on the driver’s side to manage and keep track of. Global Core Dispatch has a dedicated team for Customs Clearance and to keep a close eye on the paperwork and to make sure trucks are clear to enter or exit borders.

Driver Response Unit

The trucks that are on the road need to constantly be monitored to make sure the delivery operations are as streamlined as possible. Our trained dispatchers make sure that drivers don’t have to worry about the petty problems they face on the road while carrying out their part of the job. We have a 24/7 driver response unit to attend to any problems the drivers may face on the road.

Factoring / Invoicing

One of the challenges faced by truckers is the problem with money, as shippers or brokers pay the amount of load after 30 to 60 days of delivering the loads. Factoring is a service that helps the truckers get the money before that time. Our dedicated teams make sure truckers get their money in time, and we take care of the paperwork and requirements of factoring companies so that truckers only have to worry about where to spend the money they earned

Schedule Deliveries & Pickups

The primary responsibility of a trucking dispatcher is to arrange the delivery and pick up of freight. This means communicating with customers to arrange times for shipments and schedule deliveries. In addition to simply scheduling, dispatchers also have to create routes and be available to make changes throughout the day as situations arise.

Keep Records

The trucking industry is heavily regulated, which means that record keeping is extremely important. Trucking dispatchers are responsible for creating shipping and dispatch records. These documents keep track of dispatched calls, driver routes, delivery and pick up schedules, and truck repairs and maintenance. Dispatchers also have to ensure that drivers are keeping accurate records as well.

Identify Issues and Propose Solutions

Dispatchers have a fast-paced job. In addition to scheduling, trucking dispatchers have to identify any problems that may impede trips and they also need to come up with solutions. This means tracking weather, traffic issues, warehouse delays, and any other problems that may arise. When issues come up, it’s up to dispatchers to create alternative routes or brainstorm other solutions.

Generate Necessary Documents

There is a lot of paperwork in the trucking industry. It is often up to trucking dispatchers to manage billing and invoicing. They are also responsible for ensuring drivers have all of the proper documents and permits they’ll need to complete trips. These documents are especially important if goods are being transported across borders, or if the freight is hazardous or contains livestock.
